Galatians 6 (Part 2) | Allen Freet

Updated: Sep 30

In Galatians 6:6-18, Paul encourages believers to share with those who teach them, reminding them that whatever one sows, they will also reap. He emphasizes the importance of sowing to the Spirit to reap eternal life and urges believers not to grow weary in doing good, especially to those in the family of faith. Paul concludes by boasting only in the cross of Christ, noting that the new creation in Christ is what truly matters, rather than adherence to the law.

Highlights:

1. We reap what we sow – sowing to please the Spirit leads to eternal rewards, while sowing to the flesh brings corruption.

2. Do not grow weary in doing good, as in due time we will reap if we do not give up.

3. The cross of Christ is the only thing worth boasting about; it’s the transformative power of God that makes us a new creation.

Life Applications:

1. Invest in Spiritual Growth: Actively sow into the Spirit through prayer, Bible study, and acts of service. Focus on actions that honor God, knowing these investments lead to eternal rewards.

2. Persevere in Doing Good: Keep doing good deeds, even when progress seems slow or unnoticed. Trust that God’s timing for your harvest will come.

3. Boast in Christ Alone: Redirect any pride in personal achievements to give glory to Jesus for what He has done in your life. Let your focus be on living as a new creation through Him.
